1966 Fender Precision Bass 3-Tone Sunburst with Original Case.
Up for sale, an awesome and 100% Original early ’66 Fender Precision in a truly classic 3-Tone sunburst. Being one of the early production CBS era, these instruments are known for retaining most of the features and mojo from the pre-CBS era.

Lightweight at 8,5lbs. 5 FEB 66 C stamped on the neck, F neck plate Serial # 144XXX, Pots dated 18th week of ’66, grey bottom pickups dated May of ’66.
The bass shows wear, lots of checking, patina and buckle rush on the back from decades of playing. Everything is original and in perfect working condition.
The neck is slim to medium neck profile (0.810″ Neck thickness at 1st fret and .990″ at 12th fret). Nut width is 1.73″. Rosewood fretboard with Pearl dots. Original frets shows moderate wear, and allows playing throughout the whole fretboard evenly without any dead spots. The Neck is perfectly straight, with truss rod functioning both ways. It’s been professionally set and strung with a fresh set of D’addario Chromes flatwotunds.
It comes with its Original pickup and bridge covers, thumbrest and black tolex hard case (which is in very good condition for its age, all latches work and the Fender logo is in great shape, which is rare).
